Collector Commission

 

Are you a collector of glass, art, or other objects, interested in creating a piece of custom artwork that documents and honors your collection?

Consider a commissioned print that reinterprets your collection through light drawings, alternative photographic techniques, collage, or other methods.

Working together we will develop a documentation strategy to reinterpret a series of objects as a two-dimensional artwork. Each commission is based on the unique inspiration of the collector and their treasured objects.

  • Light Drawings

    Your glass objects will be reinterpreted as slow exposure light drawings. The performative and gestural lines and the spectral image of the body, creates a gestural index of your collection.

  • Time and Motion Studies

    Creating replicas of your collection, we will photograph the process and development of the object in space. The images speak to the physicality of the materials and the choreography of the process.

  • Scanner Photographs

    Flatbed scanner photographs offer an expressive interpretation of collected objects. Imagery captures extreme detail contrasting other areas of blurred focus.

  • Collage

    Photographs of your collection reassembled into a collage that expresses the spirit of the objects.

  • Cyanotype or Photogram

    Utilize objects to create direct photographic prints.
